How to Get Scratches Off PlayStation 2 Game Discs
Video games are expensive for today's popular consoles. The Playstation 2 video games are on compact discs formatted to play in the Playstation 2 console. If your video game has scratches, don't throw it out. You can erase the scratches from your discs with the help of a few products around your house. This fix works for any video game, movie or music CD.
Things You'll Need
- Soft paper towels or cotton swabs
- Rubber gloves (optional)
- White toothpaste
- Smooth peanut butter

Squirt about 3 tablespoons of white toothpaste on the video game's scratched side. Lightly rub the toothpaste into the disc with the paper towel.

Apply about 2 teaspoons of the smooth peanut butter onto the disc using a paper towel. Rub the peanut butter into the disc softly in a circular motion. Let the peanut butter and toothpaste sit on the disc for about 2 minutes.

Slowly and carefully wipe the paste and peanut butter from the compact disc with a soft damp paper towel. Make sure you remove all the peanut butter and toothpaste. Rinse the disc with a light stream of water and dry if necessary.

Repeat Steps 1-3 if scratches are still visible.

Tips & Warnings
Do not use hard paper towels.
Wear rubber gloves if you don't want to get your hands dirty.
