How to Face Paint an Elmo Face
Elmo is a character from the children's television show "Sesame Street." On the "Sesame Street" website, he is described as "a perennial optimist who's full of wonder as he discovers the world" and turns everything into a game. He is easy to paint and you only have to use four different colors to recreate him.

Instructions

1
Get a picture of Elmo to use as reference. Paint two white circles onto the child's cheek for the eyes.
-
2
Next draw on the head in red. Start just beneath the eyes and make the edges jagged as Elmo is hairy. Once you have done the outline, color it in.

-
3
Use a cotton bud to wipe away from of the red in the center for the mouth. Then get some black face paint and draw a black line across for a smile, filling in the patch of red you rubbed away.
-
4
Then get some more black face paint and put two dots in the white eyes.
-
5
Get some orange face paint and draw a small circle just beneath the eyes for the nose.
-
6
For a nice effect the child might like, dip the tip of your finger into some glitter. Dot the edges of the mouth and then show the child with a small mirror what you have created.
