How to Paint Garage Drywall
Painting can seem like a daunting task if you never have done it before. There are so many different kinds of paint and so many kinds of painting supplies, it can get overwhelming when you just want to figure out how to get your garage painted. The good news is, painting over drywall isn't difficult at all, and you actually only need a few basic things to get it done. Things You'll Need
- Sandpaper
- Primer
- Paint (color of choice)
- Broad paintbrush
- Paint roller with paint tray

Sand down any joint compound and the edges of the drywall tape. This will make a smoother finish for your wall once you begin to paint.

Apply primer with a broad paintbrush along the edges and corners of the walls and ceiling. You'll want to make sure you get about 4-inch thick sections.

Pour primer into the paint tray and use a paint roller to cover the rest of the walls and ceiling with primer. Allow the primer to dry according to the directions before attempting to add a coat of paint.

Thoroughly clean the paintbrush and paint roller with water and let them air dry while you wait for the primer to dry.

Use the paint brush to apply a coat of paint along the edges and corners of the walls and ceiling.

Use the roller to apply paint to the rest of the walls and ceiling. Allow the paint to dry according to the directions before applying a second coat and/or before hanging anything up or resting furniture against the wall.
