How to Wire a SonicWALL WLAN
SonicWALL manufactures wired and wireless routers and many other devices used for home Internet networking. If you wish to use a SonicWALL device to create a wireless local area network (WLAN) connection that can be used by all the Internet-capable devices in your home, the process of physically connecting all the necessary cables to the SonicWALL only takes a small time investment and a little know-how.

Connect the Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on your Internet modem to the "WAN" Ethernet port on the back of the SonicWALL.

Attach the provided AC power cable from the AC connection on the back of the SonicWALL to an electrical source like an electrical outlet or a surge protector. You should see the LED lights on the front of the SonicWALL light up, indicating the SonicWALL is starting to boot up.

Reset your Internet modem by unplugging its power cord for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. This is an essential step, as devices that connect via Ethernet cable will only recognize a new connection after being reset. Once the modem and the SonicWALL have rebooted, you have successfully connected all cables necessary to use the SonicWALL in your home network.

Tips & Warnings
You will most likely need to additionally connect a second Ethernet cable from the SonicWALL to your computer in order to configure the SonicWALL for your Internet service.
