Why give a plate of cookies when you can create a bouquet?

Handmade candy and cookies can be presented to look like a flower bouquet. The nice thing about candy and cookie bouquets is that they are not only delicious and edible, they also show that a little extra time and thought went into creating them. Instead of just throwing some cookies on a plate and wrapping them in saran wrap, follow these simple steps to create candy and cookie bouquets. These are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, offering congratulations and just about any holiday.

Instructions

  1. Candy Flower

    • 1

Attack the wooden dowel to the top portion and back side of each candy bar with double-sided tape. (The dowel should not be visible from the front side of the candy bar.)

    • 2

Attach the ribbon bows to the bottom and front side of each candy bar using the double-sided tape.

    • 3

      Set aside.

    Cookie Flower

    • 4

Wrap each cookie in colored saran wrap.

    • 5

Attach the wooden dowels to the back side and center of each cookie. (The dowel should not be visible from the front of each cookie.)

    • 6

Attach the bows to the bottom of each cookie (as if the cookie is a person's head and the ribbon bow is placed where a bow tie would go).

    Installation

    • 7

Place the floral foam inside your basket, mug or vase. You may need to cut the foam in order for it to fit inside.

    • 8

Take the cookies and candies that are attached to dowels and stick them in the floral foam.

    • 9

Arrange the dowels so that they fill most of the foam area and the foam is no longer seen.

    • 10

Arrange the candies and cookies at varying heights and spread them out as if to look like a full flower bouquet.

    • 11

Attach more ribbon bows wherever the foam is showing.
