How to Update WMAN Roaming on Verizon

If you have trouble with your Verizon mobile phone when you are out of your calling area, you should consider updating it. Verizon Wireless provides a free service that lets you update your cell phone to improve WMAN roaming capabilities. This helps keep your phone running smoothly and helps prevent dropped calls. To update your Verizon phone, you need to enter a special number. From there, the system will update it for you.

Instructions

1. Turn on your cell phone. Wait approximately 30 seconds for it to load up.

2. Press the star (*) key. Enter the numbers, "228" in your phone. Press the "SEND" button.

3. Dial option "2" to update your phone. Wait as the program updates your phone's roaming. You will hear a prompt when the update is complete.

4. Press the "END" key. Restart your phone for the update to take effect.
