How to Manually Remove Music From an iPod

iPods are a line of portable media players manufactured and marketed by Apple Inc. iPods are designed to sync with the iTunes program on your computer, and all music is added to or removed from the iPod using the iTunes sync process. You can, therefore, manually remove music from your iPod through iTunes. You can choose to remove individual songs, playlists, albums or all songs by a particular artist.

• iPod data cable

Instructions

1. Attach the iPod data cable to the port located at the bottom of your iPod device. Connect the other end of the data cable to an available USB port on your computer.

2. Open the "iTunes" program on your computer.

3. Select your iPod from the list of available "Devices" on the left-hand side of the iTunes window.

4. Click the "Music" tab.

5. Uncheck any music you want to remove from your iPod. You can remove individual songs, playlists, albums or all songs sung by a particular artist.

6. Click the "Sync" button.

7. Wait while iTunes removes the music from your iPod. When the process is complete, iTunes will prompt you to disconnect your iPod from the data cable.
