How to Attract Orioles With Oriole Nectar Feeders
New world orioles (genus Icterus) are related to blackbirds, nightingales and thrushes but different in behavior and plumage. The males have striking yellow or orange and black coloration and the females are slightly more subdued. Like thrushes, orioles have melodious songs and they bring both color and sound to a garden. Unlike most of their relatives however, the oriole's diet includes nectar and providing a nectar substitute in feeders is one way to attract them to your garden. Does this Spark an idea?
