How to Get a Real Estate License in VA
The state of Virginia requires all prospective real estate salespeople to complete the real estate exam prior receiving a license to operate in the state. The prerequisites mirror those found in most states, and the successful completion of the state exam requires study and preparation. A number of state-approved agencies cater to the hundreds who take the state salesperson exam each year. Fee payment is required prior to taking both an approved course and the state exam, while a state-issued license will arrive following the completion of all requirements.
