How to Dry Garbanzo Beans
Garbanzo beans, also known as chickpeas, are one of the most widely consumed beans in the world. The garbanzo bean originated in the Middle East, but is grown worldwide. The pale yellow colored bean has a firm texture and tastes similar to chestnuts and walnuts. Meals, side dishes and treats are common ways for beans to be used. Garbanzo beans are typically sold already dried or canned. Dried beans usually need to be prepared by soaking prior to consumption. Things You'll Need
- 15 oz. can of garbanzo beans
- 2 tablespoons grape seed oil
- Gallon size plastic storage or freezer bag
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
- Greased cookie sheet
- Oven
- Spatula

Open the 15 oz. can of garbanzo beans and drain the liquid.

Pour 2 tbsp. grape seed oil into a gallon size plastic storage or freezer bag.

Pour the drained garbanzo beans into the bag with the grape seed oil. Seal the bag and shake it until the beans are lightly coated with the oil.

Place the oil-coated garbanzo beans onto a greased cookie sheet. Spread out the garbanzo beans on the cookie sheet.

Lightly sprinkle the garbanzo beans with cinnamon and sugar.

Bake the beans at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. The beans will be dried and ready for eating.
