How to Self-Install Studs Into Tires
There are many places in the world where you can't drive on the roads without studs in your tires. If you have ever driven on an icy road, you know why you need studs in your tires. Studs are made of metal and they set in specific tires that are made for them. These tires have holes in the tread for insertion of the studs. The studs have a sharp point on one end so that they can grab the road and hold tight even on ice. Usually, you would use a special stud gun to install the studs in the tires. But there are some ways that you can install the studs without the gun. Keep in mind this is a difficult job even with the stud gun. You will likely spend several hours doing this job by hand.
