How to Use the Canon DR-3080C With Windows
The Canon DR-3080C is a high-speed desktop scanner. The DR-3080C allows you to scan both color and grayscale documents and images onto your computer. It is fully compatible with the Windows operating system, and more recent systems will automatically recognize the scanner once it has been connected. Once you have set the scanner up and installed the software, you will be able to scan all of your documents in no time at all.

Connect your scanner to your computer and to a power source, using the cables provided.

Turn the scanner on by pressing the power switch located in the lower front right-hand corner of the scanner before turning on your PC.

Allow your Windows operating system to automatically locate your scanner, before following the onscreen instructions to complete the installation of the scanner driver. If you are using an older Windows operating system, then you will need to load the setup disk into your CD-ROM drive before following the automatic instructions.

Restart your computer. Turn your computer off before switching the power switch on the scanner to the "off" position. Wait 10 seconds before turning both your scanner and your computer back on.

Install the software. Load the setup disk into your CD-ROM drive before clicking "File," then "Run." Locate the software disc from the drop-down menu and click "OK."

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation process.

Load a document for scanning. Place the document on the paper feed tray so the side you want to scan is face up. Ensure that the paper side guides are aligned with the width of the paper.

Run the scanning application software installed on your computer. Click the "Scan" button to scan your selected document.

Allow the scanner to feed the document all the way through before attempting to remove it. Repeat the process for any further documents.
