How to Change Small Menu Programs on a Blackberry Curve

Although you can access your installed applications at any time on your BlackBerry Curve, five program icons appear on the home page so that you can access them easily. A small menu bar appears across the bottom of the home page. Which applications appear on the home page are based on which icons are in the first five positions on the applications list. To change the programs that appear on that menu bar, you must move the applications around on your applications list.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the BlackBerry Curve smartphone. Press the "Menu" key to view the applications list.

    • 2

Use the trackball to highlight the icon of a program you want to appear in your small menu settings. Press the "Menu" key. Click "Move."

    • 3

Use the trackball to move the icon to one of the first five positions. Click the position to save it.

Tips & Warnings

  • The most the common items to appear in the main menu bar are the contacts, the calendar and the messaging icons. Choose whichever five programs you use the most on your BlackBerry Curve.

  • With the number of phone models in the BlackBerry Curve series, the menu settings may vary slightly. If you have issues changing the applications in your main menu, consult the user manual for your specific BlackBerry Curve model.
