Download music to a memory card before adding it to your phone

The G'zOne Boulder, a cellphone developed by Casio, is fully Internet enabled and can store and play media files such as music and video.

Although you can download music directly onto the G'zOne Boulder cellphone, you may want to add more music than the phone can hold on its hard drive. If this is the case, you can add music to a MicroSD memory card that is installed into your cellphone.

Instructions

  1. Download Music from Your Computer Onto the Micro SD Memory Card

    • 1

Purchase a MicroSD memory card if you do not already own one. You can purchase them from most electronic hardware stores.

    • 2

Plug the MicroSD card into your computer's multicard reader slot and click on "My Computer." A new window will now appear.

    • 3

Double click on your MicroSD memory card's disk drive icon. Your memory card's main folder will now open in a new window.

    • 4

Right click in the new window, select "Format" from the drop-down menu then "FAT32" from the subsequent drop down menu.

    • 5

Open the application or folder on your hard drive, which holds your music.

    • 6

Select the music files you want to download to your phone, then right click on one of the files and select "Copy" from the drop-down menu.

    • 7

Return to your memory card's main folder, right click anywhere in this window then select "Paste" from the drop-down menu. Your music will begin transferring from your computer to your memory card. This may take a few minutes.

    • 8

Unplug the MicroSD memory card once the music has transferred successfully.

Transfer Music from Your MicroSD Card Onto Your G'zOne Boulder Cellphone

    • 9

Turn your phone off and open the memory card slot cover, which is located on the side of your G'Zone Boulder cellphone.

    • 10

Insert the MicroSD memory card into the memory card slot until it locks in place, ensuring that the side of the memory card with a white triangle on it is facing toward the phone and positioned upward.

    • 11

Close the phone's memory card slot cover and turn the phone on.

    • 12

Press "Menu" on your phone's main display screen. Select "Media Center," "Music & Tones" then "My Music" from the subsequent menus. A "Music Library" folder will now appear that includes all the music stored in your phone's memory and the MicroSD memory card. From here you can play and manage your music.

Tips & Warnings

  • Ensure that you buy a MicroSD memory card that does not exceed the maximum amount of memory that your cellphone can handle. Consult your phone's manual to determine what the maximum supported memory card is (measured in GB).
