Instructions

    • 1

Form a loop with the ribbon and hold it between your fingers. Make the loops as big as you like. Generally the bow will look best if you start with smaller loops and make them bigger as you go along. Be aware of how long the tail is when you make your first loop. If you want long tails to hang down your tree, measure your tree and see how long you will need to make the tails to do this to create the bow the way you want it to look on the tree.

    • 2

Make more loops until the bow is the size you want it. Increase the loop size as you go on. Make the bow as big as you desire. A larger tree will look best with a big bow. If the tree is small, a large bow may be too overwhelming. Consider the size of the tree.

    • 3

Twist floral wire around the center of the bow to anchor it into place. Arrange the loops to look full and pretty. Place them as you like to create a fluffy bow shape.

    • 4

Trim the ribbon ends with scissors. You can cut them straight across or cut them into points.

    • 5

Anchor the bow to the top of the tree with more floral wire. Arrange the tails to cascade down the tree.
