How to Light a Christmas Palm Tree
Decorations are a creative part of the Christmas season. They make your home festive and joyful. Pine trees are the trees that are typically associated with Christmas. If you live in the Tropics or you are looking to create an exotic look for the inside of your home in Northern climates, consider decorating a palm tree with lights. Wrap the strands of the lights around the trunk of the tree. Start at the bottom of the trunk and work your way up, moving in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction.

Pull the lights taut, as the tree will look more attractive if the lights aren't sagging. As you move up the tree, plug more strands of lights into the previous strand, if necessary.

Light only the underside of a few of the lower branches of fronds, if you've chosen to illuminate them. Run a strand of lights along the underside of each branch, and secure it with zip ties.

Plug the strand of lights at the bottom of the tree into an extension cord, and plug the extension cord into a power outlet.

Tips & Warnings
If the tree is outside, use weather-safe lights and extension cords to avoid potential electrical hazards.
