How to Find a Telephone Anagram for a Phone Number
Mobile devices help people integrate all their communication into one device, yet many people still have to remember several different phone numbers. One way of making phone numbers more memorable is to associate them with letters corresponding to the digits of the phone number that spell words. This sort of device can not only make the number easy to remember, but can make it uniquely associated with an individual or business. You can find your own anagrams for phone numbers in a few ways.

1
Use an online anagram generator (see References). Many websites have tables which calculate anagrams based on your phone number. Software programs are available for free use or purchase which can do the same. Based on the results from these generators, you can select an anagram that suits your needs.

2
Write down the letters that correspond to your phone number with pen and paper. The numbers on a phone keypad correspond as follows: 2 (A B C), 3 (D E F), 4 (G H I), 5 (J K L), 6 (M N O), 7 (P Q R S), 8 (T U V), 9 (W X Y Z).

3
Cut out each letter with a scissors and lay them on a flat surface.
-
4
Mix the letters in a pile and pull out the number of letters of your telephone number. This can help generate random combinations that function as anagrams. Looking at the pile and mixing it occasionally can help generate anagrams.
-
5
Use split anagrams. Two anagrams split by a number or series of numbers can be as effective as whole anagrams.
-
6
Substitute numbers that sound like words. If your phone number contains the number 2, for example, it may be substituted with the words "two," "to" and "too."
