How to Do Going Out Makeup
Makeup can highlight your best features and mask your flaws, making you feel beautiful and feminine. Doing your makeup to go out at night, whether it be a girls' night out or a hot date, is the perfect final touch for any outfit and makes you feel "done." When doing evening makeup, it is important to consider the light where you will be going; increasing for low-light situations and decreasing for bright situations will help keep you looking fresh and natural, not overdone. It also helps to pick one feature, such as your eyes or your lips, and play it up instead of doing your entire face. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Mix your foundation with some moisturizer and rub it between your fingers to blend evenly. Change your ratio of foundation to moisturizer depending on the quantity of coverage you want.
-
2
Blend foundation using fingers instead of a makeup sponge. Using your fingers to apply foundation warms the products, allowing it to blend with your skin and giving you a dewy, natural finish.
-
-
3
Wash your hands. Foundation stains and you can often forget its there after you have blended it on your face.
-
4
Sharpen your eyeliner and dull the point by rubbing it gently against your finger. Sharpening eyeliner exposes a fresh tip, which is easier to work with and has less bacteria.
-
5
Line the upper and lower interior of your eyelids. If your eyes start to tear, take a break. Look outward for easier access to the inner corners of your eyes.
-
6
Close one eye and pull the skin taught. Starting at the inner corner of your eye, gently drag your eyeliner along your lash line of your upper eyelid. Repeat with other eye.
-
7
Blend the eyeliner into your lash line using your finger. This will give you a soft, smokey look.
-
8
Wash your hands.
-
9
Choose a dark eyeshadow, such as gray or brown, if you are playing up your eyes. If you will be playing up your lips, choose a natural shimmery shadow in a beige or taupe.
-
10
Apply eyeshadow to the lash line using a flat, medium-sized eyeshadow brush. Blend the eyeshadow up and out across your eyelid with the brush.
-
11
Use your fingers to blend the eyeshadow to the outer edges of your eyelid.
-
12
Apply a blush to the apples of your cheeks with a puffy brush. Use gentle, sweeping motions for a natural look.
-
13
Choose a lipstick or lip gloss that works with your skin tone. If you have chosen to play up your eyes, use a pale pink or peach gloss for a more natural look. If you want to play up your mouth, choose a berry or red hue. Use a lip liner in a similar shade to line and fill in your lips before applying lipstick; this will help the color stay on longer.
-
14
Apply your lip stick to the upper lip first, gliding along the lip from left to right. Apply to your bottom lip, then use a tissue or piece of toilet paper to blot. Use your finger to remove any lipstick that goes outside the lines of your mouth.

Tips & Warnings
Stay away from black. Black eyeshadow and eyeliner can often look cheap and clownish while making your eyes appear smaller if not applied correctly.
