How to Harvest Pachysandra Seeds
Pachysandra is also known as Japanese spurge and is a type of perennial ground cover usually grown from divided roots or cuttings. Many people feel that attempting to grow this plant from seeds is not worth the effort. While the harvesting itself is not difficult, the growing can be frustrating and require repeated attempts. Collect the seed heads from their stems once they are slightly brown and dried. Pull them gently from the plant. Put the heads into a brown paper bag and roll it closed tightly.

Place the bag in an area that is dry and has good ventilation. Check the heads after two to three weeks and make sure they are completely dried. Transfer the heads from the bag to a shallow dish.

Carefully break open each head with your fingers to reveal the seeds themselves. Empty the seeds into a fine sieve and separate them from plant waste material. The seeds are now ready to germinate.
