How to Get Photos to Appear in Email
Opening an email message and seeing an annoying red "X" is maddening sometimes, especially when the image is vital to the email. Many email programs use the settings that you set on your Internet browser. So if you tweaked your settings to keep images from appearing automatically, you'll never see images when you open your email. However, you can reverse those settings to view email images.

Tips & Warnings
Some email programs have a built-in security feature that prevents images from being displayed unless the sender is in your contacts list. If you don't want to add the sender to your contacts list, you can instead right-click the red "X" that is displayed instead of the image and select "Download." The image will be downloaded so you can view it.
Check the Internet settings on your Internet security or antivirus program, too. Some antivirus and security programs disable images from appearing in email.
