Instructions

    • 1

Blot wet ink from the carpet with white paper towels. Keep blotting until the ink stops lifting onto the paper towels. Avoid pushing the ink into the carpet; gently dab at the ink only.

    • 2

Mix 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide with 1 tbsp. of ammonia in a bowl. Soak a white paper towel with the mixture. Roll the paper towel and place it so it surrounds the ink stain, keeping it from spreading any further.

    • 3

Moisten a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol. Press it gently onto the ink stain. Blot at the ink, allowing it to transfer onto the cotton ball. Wet a new cotton ball with the rubbing alcohol as the other one becomes saturated with the ink. Continue this procedure, lifting all the red ink from the carpet.

    • 4

Remove the paper towel from the carpet. Rinse the carpet by blotting with a damp sponge.

    • 5
