1
Measure the window sill to determine the best position. The A/C dimensions are 30.31 by 26 by 16.84 inches. The window should have opening widths from 27 to 39 inches. Vertical opening from the upper sash to the window stool must be 16 inches. The A/C needs to be close to an outlet, which mustn't be shared with other appliances. Ideally, the bottom of the unit should be 30 to 60 inches above the floor level.
-
2
Assemble the sill support by initially attaching the sill bracket to the support bracket loosely, using the carriage bolt and the lock nut, and then fastening the sill bracket to the window sill using the screws.
-
-
3
Attach the sill support to the cabinet. Use the M screw and the lock nut (attach the support bracket to the cabinet track hole). The first track hole must be used after the sill bracket is on the window sill's outer edge. Then, tighten the carriage bolt and the lock nut.
-
4
Attach the cabinet to the stool. Use a power drill or screwdriver and the appropriate screws provided by the manufacturer.
-
5
Fasten the sill support to the cabinet track hole using the provided screws.
-
6
Pull each frame curtain fully to each window sash track, and pull the bottom window sash down behind the top retainer bar until it meets.
-
7
Attach each frame curtain to the window sash using screws.
-
8
Insert the foam-strip between the upper and lower window sash. You may need to cut it to the desired size.
-
9
Fasten the window locking bracket to the top right side of the bottom window. Use the provided screws.
-
10
Attach the front and inlet grille. Make sure the front grille snaps into place when you insert the tabs on the grill into the tabs on the front of the cabinet. Secure the inlet grille with a screw through the front one.
-
11
Attach the drain hose (if supplied) to the outlet at the drain pan's bottom on the outside part of the unit.
-
12
Plug in the air conditioner.

Tips & Warnings
If possible, install the A/C on a window sill without direct sunlight.
BTU stands for British Thermal Unit capacity. An 18,000 BTU (5.27kW) unit will cool 700 to 1,000 square feet.
Hold strictly to manufacturer's direction when installing the unit in order to prevent injuries and unit malfunction. Clear filters every two weeks and always use a soft cloth to clean the A/C.
Keep in mind that the unit is heavy. The chosen window sill should therefore be reliable -- made of solid wood, metal or other firm materials. If you must install the unit on the old or damaged wood sill, repair it first.
Take care not to block the inlet or outlet of air flow. It could result in product failure.
