How to Put Information on VersaCheck Platinum Check Stubs
There are many types of software for check printing. One such program is VersaCheck Platinum. VersaCheck Platinum is compatible with other software that is helpful for personal or professional finances, such as QuickBooks, Quicken and Money. However, before using VersaCheck Platinum to print checks, you must set up the information you wish to include on your checks. The process is not difficult, and some steps are self-explanatory.

Starting VersaCheck Platinum

Click on "File," then "New" and then "VersaCheck file." If you have another VersaCheck file open, you will be asked to close it. Press "Back Up" or "Don't Back Up," based on whether you want to back up the file.

Name the new VersaCheck file in the "Create VersaCheck File" window.

Select your type of account in the "What Kind of Account" field in Step 1 of the "Create New Account" window. Name your account in the corresponding field . Click the status of your account ("Active" or "Inactive"). Select "Y" for yes or "N" for no as to whether you want to use a checkbook.

Enter the "Opening Balance" of your account in the first field of Step 2 of the "Create New Account" screen. Type in the date of that opening balance in the "As of (date)" field. Enter in the minimum required balance of your account in the "Minimum Balance" field. Select or type in the country of the account in the "Account Country" field. Add any comments you may like to add in the "Add Comments" box.

Type in all the relevant information in Step 3 of the "Create New Account" window. This includes the account holder's name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, country and phone number.
Editing the Checkbook

Type in the checkbook description in the "Checkbook description" line. In the "Next Checkbook No." box, enter the number of the next check, following the sequence from your regular checks. Do the same in the "Next Deposit No." box.

Create a sample check in the "Checkbook information" screen. Enter the fractional number near the top right hand corner of the sample check on your computer monitor that matches the fractional number on an actual paper check from your account.

Type in the symbols and numbers on the bottom of the check on your screen exactly as they appear on an actual paper check from your account. These numbers include your sample check number, your account number and the bank routing number. The numbers and symbols must be in the exact order as they appear in your actual paper check, and you must have the same number of digits as there are on the paper check.

Enter the corresponding information on the next screen, with your company or personal name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number and, if applicable, your fax number, email address and website.

Enter the pertinent information for your bank in the "Bank Information" window, including the bank's name, address and phone number.
