How to Apply Epoxy Resin to Coffee Tables

Protect wood coffee table surfaces with epoxy resin.

Epoxy resin creates a strong sealant on a coffee table that will protect it from getting stained, nicked or scratched. You can apply epoxy resin to any wooden coffee table. Apply at least two coats to ensure that the wood has soaked up the resin and that it has properly adhered to the wooden surface.

Things You'll Need

• Foam paintbrush
• Reducer

Instructions

1. Apply the mixed resin to the coffee table with a paintbrush. Apply an even coat quickly, as the resin will dry fast.

2. Let the resin cure overnight.

3. Apply another coat of epoxy resin.

4. Let it dry for a week before placing anything on the surface

Tips & Warnings

• Use a reducer to keep the epoxy flowing when using a paintbrush, otherwise you will end up with brush marks.
