How to Make Rolled Towel Animals
If you have been on a cruise in the last several years, you may have received towel animals on your bed each day. Towel animals are fun to see and marvel at, and they are easy to make at home. Consider rolling bath towel gifts into animal shapes, or decorating a table for a baby shower with little elephants. You could even just use it as a party trick to show off to your friends. Rolling towels into animals is simple; they all start with the same basic body shape.
Things You'll Need
- One bath towel
- One hand towel
- Sunglasses (optional)
- Two chocolates (optional)
Instructions

Lay out the bath towel on the bed or floor.

Roll each short side toward the center of the towel. They should meet in the middle. Make sure the rolls are tight.

Flip the towel over so the rolls are facing the floor. Fold one short side of the towel over to meet the other and pick it up. You should now have what looks like four rolls in your hands.

Pull gently on the corners of the towel. They are hidden inside the rolls, so search slowly for them so you don't mess up the rolls. You should only pull them out 2 to 4 inches.

Hold two corners in one hand and the other two in the other hand. Pull them apart slowly and lay them on the bed, or wherever you are displaying them. It should look like four legs with a body in the middle.
Elephant Head

Lay a hand towel on the bed and fold it in half with the short sides meeting.

Roll the sides to the middle. This should be done on a slight diagonal, and not straight across.

Reach into the center of the roll and pull out the corners. This will create big floppy ears, so pull out as much as you think looks good.

Roll up the bottom of the towel to create the trunk. Place the elephant head on the body you made earlier.

Tips & Warnings
Add sunglasses to the elephant face, or place chocolates for eyes.
