Directions for Twisting Balloons
Twisting balloons into different shapes and subjects can add to your party's decor as well as provide entertainment for children. Decorate your party venue beforehand by choosing a theme, such as a safari, and creating balloon jungle animals to complement that theme. You could also take requests from your guests during the party itself and create custom balloons. The balloons then become party favors in addition to being decorations and entertainment. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Insert an air pump into the lip of the balloon and fill it with air. Underinflate the balloon, filling it so there is about 4 inches of uninflated balloon at the tail end.
-
2
Tie the lip of the balloon into a knot, securing the air in the balloon.
-
-
3
Fold the end with the knot over about 6 inches.
-
4
Pinch both the curved part of the balloon, as well as the section of the balloon the curved portion lays against.
-
5
Twist the pinched portions of the balloon around two to three times, so the loop is now secured in place. This is a staple starting point for creating a balloon animal, as it can be the ears of a variety of animals.
-
6
Continue folding and twisting the balloon to create more loops and transform the balloon into an animal or object.
