How to Use Household Products for Rust Removal on a Sword

Things You'll Need
- Scrubbing pad or steel wool pad
- Table salt
- Lime juice
- Paper towels
- Mineral oil

Scrub off the rust from the sword using a kitchen scrubbing pad or a steel wool pad.

Pour 1 part table salt and 2 parts lime juice into a bowl. The salt has an abrasive action on the sword. The citric acid in the lime juice helps to dissolve the rust.

Dab a paper towel into the mixture and apply it to the rust on the sword.
