Due to FCC regulations, Verizon Wireless does not record telephone calls that transpire on your Verizon mobile phone. Phone calls made in the past cannot be retrieved. However, by using third party software, future phone conversations are retrievable. To capture and retrieve future phone conversations, you need an application-enabled SmartPhone, such as the iPhone, BlackBerry or Android.
Step 1
Visit the App Store on your SmartPhone. For the iPhone, open iTunes App Store. For the BlackBerry, open BlackBerry App World. For the Android, open the Android Market application.

Type "call recording" into the app store search box. A list of call recording apps that are compatible with your phone appears. An example of available Android apps include Record My Call, Call Recorder and AndroRec. An example of available iPhone apps include Call Recording Pro, Record Phone Calls and NoNotesVoice. An example of BlackBerry apps include LivePVR, Bluff My Call and RecordiaPro.
Step 3
Read through the description for each call recording app to determine which application you want to use. For instance, some call recording apps only record your part in the conversation. Other apps record both sides of the conversation.
Step 4
Select "Download" or "Install" to download and install the application onto your phone.
Step 5
Configure the call recording application to record all of your calls automatically or specify manual recording preferences. Generally, to configure these settings, open the application and select the "Settings" option. The exact method to configure settings varies by application.
Step 6
Start a telephone conversation that you wish to record. Once the phone call is over, retrieve the call by launching the call recorder application. Within the application is the option to listen to saved recordings.
