1
Ensure the Sony AIT LIB-81 Library is plugged in, the power switch is pressed to "On," all cables are connected, the cartridge door dock is securely shut, and the host computer is on if the Library is not working. Press the "Cancel" button twice, go to the "Configuration" menu, reset "Barcode" to "No," and reboot the Library if the Library is not working and an "Error: 07000001" message appears on the display screen. Disconnect and then reconnect the network cable if the Library is still not working.

2
Ensure the SCSI identification numbers of the Library, AIT drives, and host computer are different if the Library and the host computer cannot connect to one another. Ensure all cables are connected, the SCSI card is properly installed, and that the SCSI devices are LVD and not HVD devices. If there is still no communication between the devices, check whether the host computer was turned on before the Library was turned on and make sure the application software is correctly installed. Shorten the SCSI cable to less than 33 feet if the Library and the host computer still cannot connect to one another.

3
Ensure the installed cartridge in the Library is standard, the "Erase-Protection" tab of the cartridge is set to "Writable," and the cartridge is not damaged if the data in the Library cannot be written or read even though the library is working properly. Replace old or continually used cartridges if the Library data still cannot be accessed.
