Nintendo DS: How to Use Cheat Codes

Cheat codes on the Nintendo DS are not easily cracked.

Gaming consoles vary in the methods by which you may enter cheat codes. For instance, on the Xbox 360, it typically involves a series of letters or numbers entered into a code menu while the game is paused. On the Nintendo DS, however, you enter cheat codes with the directional pad or pressing the action buttons in a particular order. Cheat codes are readily available on the Internet and appear on any number of games.

Instructions

1. Search the Internet to locate a particular cheat code for the game.

2. Turn the game on and allow it to load to the main menu.

3. Press the directional pad or action buttons in the order that the cheat code indicates. For example, to gain 3,000,000 studs on "Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga," press the "Start" button twice, "Down" twice, "Left" twice, "Up" twice, then the "Select" button.

• Check several different cheat codes sites when looking for codes. Not all sites contain the same information.
