Instructions

Remove the grill cover, if applicable. Open the gas grill and perform any scrubbing or brushing of the grill grates, if necessary. Examine the gas hose beneath the grill to make sure you see no cuts or cracks. Do not light the grill if you see damage to the hose.

    • 2

Check each burner control knob to make sure they are all off.

    • 3

Turn the liquid propane tank valve counterclockwise one complete turn to open the gas.

    • 4

Turn the Burner 1 control knob to the "start" position.

    • 5

Push the igniter button once to start the grill. You should hear a click as the igniter produces a spark to ignite the propane.

    • 6

Check Burner 1 to verify a flame. As long as Burner 1 has a flame, turn on any auxiliary burners you wish to use.

    • 7

Turn the grill off by turning each control knob to the "off" position. Turn the liquid propane tank valve clockwise until it stops to close the tank.

Tips & Warnings

  • Light the grill manually by performing all of the outlined steps, except use a long lighter or a match inserted into the match-light hole in the front of the grill instead of clicking the igniter button.

  • If the grill does not light after five seconds, stop and turn the Burner 1 button back to the "off" position. Wait five minutes for the excess gas to dissipate, then try lighting the grill again.

  • Follow user instructions carefully when lighting and using a Weber gas grill. Liquid propane fuel is exceedingly flammable. Injury, death or property damage can occur.
