How to Rotate the Screen on an iPAQ

iPAQ, smartphones and handheld computers from Hewlett-Packard, allow interest access, email and other features to access while away from home. Unfortunately, not all iPAQ models are programmed to allow screen rotation while watching video, viewing pictures or doing other activities that may benefit from a horizontal orientation, leaving third parties to develop programs to rotate the screen. The exact program needed depends on the model of iPAQ and the operating system in use.

Instructions

1. Note the operating system of the iPAQ. The exact application needed depends on which system, generally a version of Windows Mobile, runs the device.

2. Download the appropriate add-on. Free options include "Pocket PC VNC Viewer" and Pocket PC Freeware's "rotate - v1.1." There are also paid programs such as "Nyditot Virtual Display," which also allow editing of many other display functions.

3. Install the program.

4. Reset the device. Whether this is a hard or soft reset depends on the program.
