How to Adjust the Color Tube on a Rear Projection TV

It is possible to adjust the color of your projection television system.

Projection televisions are larger, wider TVs than plasma and LCD televisions. This is because a small projector is in the rear of the TV that emits a picture onto the larger screen (similar to a movie projector on a screen). RCA, one of the world's largest electronic companies, produces projection televisions. If you have such a TV and are not satisfied with the current color of the picture, it is possible to adjust the color of the projection tube.

Instructions

1. Power on the television and press the "Menu" button with the RCA TV's remote control.

2. Select "Picture" and all the picture options load onto the screen.

3. Push the "Down" arrow button until you select "Hue." This adjusts the green and red in the image. Push the "Left" directional button to add more green to the image, or the "Right" button to add more red to the picture.

4. Select "Color Temperature" and set it to either "Cool," "Warm" or "Neutral." The cool temperature adds blues to the image, while warm adds reds, oranges and yellows. Neutral keeps an even setting of all the colors.
