How to Make a Ringtone for the Motorola RAZR2 V9x
Making your own custom ringtone gives you the freedom to express yourself without having to use the pre-installed sounds on your Motorola RAZR2 V9x. Whether you prefer hip hop, heavy metal or your own recorded sound files, the Motorola Phone Tools program lets you use nearly any type of sound as a new ringtone. As long as you can access the file from your computer, you can cut out a ringtone-length segment of the file and transfer it to your RAZR2 phone.

Tips & Warnings
If your RAZR2 V9x didn't come with the Phone Tools software, or you don't have the installation disc, the program is available to download through Motorola's Web page.
To use the new ringtone, navigate to the phone's "Settings" menu and choose "Ring Styles." Select the "Style Detail" option and choose the new ringtone.
You have to create a new profile if you haven't previously used the Phone Tools program with your RAZR2 phone. Instead of choosing a profile from the list, click the "New" button and select the radio button named "Cable." Click "Next" twice to create the new profile.
