How to Get Rid of Ask Jeeves
The Ask Jeeves toolbar is an add-on program for Web browsers. This search bar is powered by the Ask Jeeves search engine; the toolbar also provides a few other features, such as private browsing and Web page resizing. Instead of navigating to the Ask Jeeves website, you can always type a search string directly in the browser; however, if you want to get rid of it you can uninstall it using standard Windows utilities.

Go to the "Start" menu and click "Control Panel."

Click "Programs and Features" or "Uninstall a program" under "Programs."

Scroll through the list of installed programs in the new window, click "Ask Jeeves Toolbar" and click "Uninstall" button.

Click "Continue" in the new window to begin uninstallation.

Restart your computer when prompted by the system when the process is complete.

I am convinced that Ask Jeeves is an insidious, insecure, fascistic, nazi organization that bears no moral responsibility to we web users. If it wasn't it would never invade our computers without invitation.
