How to Add Cars to "GTA"

"Grand Theft Auto IV" features over 200 different types of cars in its wide-open, city landscape where the players' character can perform multiple criminal activities. For some fans of the series, the huge selection of cars from the game developers isn't enough. Whether you want to upload your own creations or you wish to add another gamer's cars to your streets, that and more can be done with the GTA IV Car Configuration Editor.

Things You'll Need

• GTA IV Car Configuration Editor
• .ide car file or other format

Instructions

1. Click the GTA IV Car Configuration Editor (CCE) shortcut on the desktop, from the Start Menu, or in the "Program Files" folder of your C:\ drive.

2. Click the "Add Vehicle" button of the CCE interface under the list of cars that can be configured.

3. Use the database browser to locate a car file and upload it to the program. Allow the program to copy the files with proper configurations to the folder containing your "GTA" cars.

4. Use the program to change a car's resistance to damage, speed, acceleration, and other stats, and also switch between front-wheel, rear-wheel, and four-wheel drive.

Tips & Warnings

• GTA IV Car Configuration Editor can make back-up files and restore them to their default configurations if you change something and regret it later.
