Set your goals high.

Set goals and assign priorities so that you can achieve what you want to do. A goal is a statement that says you will do something by a certain date. Arranging your goals by priority helps you to achieve the most important things first. With a written list of goals, you will have a guide to what you want and how you are going to achieve them. After writing a goal, take an immediate action towards that goal. Look at your list of goals daily and formulate a plan to achieve them.

Instructions

    • 1

Write a list of all the goals you want to achieve. Make the goals specific and realistic. Include everything that comes to your mind that is important to you. Write your goals on paper or use a word processing program. Make both long-term goals and short-term goals.

    • 2

Take the goals that you have written and rewrite them as a positive affirmation. Say, "I now weigh 130 pounds," instead of saying, "I want to lose weight." Repeat this positive affirmation throughout the day.

    • 3

Make a list of action steps that are needed to achieve your goals. Break your goals down into small steps. Plan to achieve your goal with small steps. Use your planner or computer calendar to enter the steps needed to achieve your goals. Work on your goals each day.

Prioritize the goals with a numbering system. Place a number by each goal in order that you would like to achieve them. Label your most important goal number 1, the next goal number 2 and so on.

    • 5

Set a deadline for achieving each goal. Next to each goal write the date that you wish to achieve it.

    • 6

Place your goals in a place that can be seen on a daily basis. Read your goals out loud daily in the morning and at night. Repeat your goals in your head throughout the day whenever you can. Write your goals daily to reinforce them.

    • 7

Create a vision board for your goals. Take a piece of poster board or a large piece of paper. Cut out pictures of the goals that you wish to achieve. Paste the pictures on your vision board. Add words that have meaning to your vision board. Daily look at your vision board and visualize the goals that you want to achieve.
