1
Brush your hair to remove any tangles.

2
Squirt two to three drops of glossing serum into the palm of your hand. Rub your palms together to distribute. Apply the serum to your hair, beginning at the tips and moving up toward the roots. This will reduce frizziness in your wavy hair and keep the waves separated and shiny.

Use both hands to collect your hair into a single bundle. Use your fingers to comb your hair back into the a ponytail just below the crown of your head.
-
4
Hold the ponytail in one hand and use the brush with your other hand to smooth the hair along your scalp back into the ponytail. Continue brushing the hair back into your ponytail around your entire head, smoothing out any bumps and waves.
-
5
Wrap your elastic around the base of the ponytail several times to secure it tightly in place.
-
6
Select a 1-inch section of hair from the ponytail. Insert your rat-tail comb into the section about halfway down. Comb the hair up toward the scalp to lightly tease it.
-
7
Select another section of hair and lightly backcomb it. This will give your thin ponytail some extra volume. Continue selecting and backcombing sections of hair until you have achieved the fullness you'd like.
-
8
Hold the hairspray about 12 inches from your head and mist your ponytail. This will hold the style in place.
