Remove the laser engraving mark from your prescription eyeglasses with sand paper.

Prescription glasses may come with a laser engraving mark on them somewhere. Sometimes it adds a little extra touch to the glasses, and sometimes it's the one detail you just can't stand about them. If you really need to remove the laser engraving mark, all you need is some fine-grain sandpaper, time and a little bit of water to scrub it away from your glasses forever.

Instructions

    • 1

Wash the glasses with soap and water to remove any impurities or dirt. Don't dry them, but make sure that all of the soap is washed away completely.

    • 2

Gently rub at the laser engraving with your fine-grit sandpaper. The sandpaper will rub off the engraving over time, but if you push too hard you might damage the glasses. Slow, smooth strokes with occasional douses of water to remove rubbed off plastic should do the trick.

    • 3

Inspect your glasses to make sure that you removed all of the laser engraving mark. Once the mark is completely gone you can wear your glasses again without worrying about that small impurity.
