Unlike the calves, knees and outer thighs, your inner thighs are rarely exposed. Accordingly, it is easy to forget that the skin in this area requires just as much care. Garments made of rough materials, tight clothing, cold or dry weather and friction can cause the skin on the inner thighs to feel rough and scaly. To counteract this effect, it is important to carve out a little time each day to pamper this area. Adhering to a daily regimen will keep the skin on your inner thighs just as smooth as the rest of your body.

Lather a loofa or washcloth with moisturizing soap. Use it to wash your inner thighs in a circular motion. This will remove dead skin cells that can cause your thighs to feel dry or scaly. Rinse the soap from your thighs and turn off the water.

Pour a dime-sized amount of shaving gel in one hand. Rub your palms together to create lather. Prop one leg up and turn it to expose the inner thigh. Smooth the shaving gel onto the inner thigh.

Position the razor at the bottom of the inner thigh. Slowly slide the blade up the thigh in one even motion. Repeat the motion over the same spot if shaving gel remains. Turn on the water and rinse the blade. Repeat the motion until you have shaved the entire inner thigh.

Rinse the thighs with cool water once you are finished shaving. Prop the opposite leg up and repeat the shaving motions on this thigh. Rinse this thigh with cool water as well.

Pat the inner thighs dry with a towel. Smooth lotion onto the thighs and gently rub it into the skin. Moisturize the inner thighs morning and night or more often if the skin becomes dry.

Tip

Shave your inner thighs every other day. Shave more or less frequently depending on how quickly your hair grows.

Exfoliate your inner thighs once or twice a week to keep them smooth.
