How Can I Display a Flag in a Cubicle?
Flags come in all shapes and sizes, including the flags of different states and countries, flags with cultural and religious significance, sports team flags, holiday flags and flags for favorite bands. Before displaying a flag in your cubicle, remember that size is important because large flags will not only be a problem to you while you work but will also distract coworkers. Flags of a religious or sexual nature can potentially offend coworkers, so review company policy about cubicle decor before displaying any flags.

1
Go over company policy concerning cubicle decor. According to the Society for Technical Communication's information about cubicle etiquette, cubicle decor should remain tasteful and decorations with religious, cultural or sexual connotations can potentially offend coworkers and should not be displayed.

2
Ask your boss if it is permissible to display a flag if you are still unsure about cubicle decor policy at your company. Describe the size and type of flag to your boss and ask him for advice as to where to display the flag in your cubicle.

Place the flag in a secure area of the cubicle that is mainly visible to you only. While coworkers will most likely see the flag if they happen to walk by your cubicle, refrain from displaying the flag in an area where they can potentially bump into it or see it from their cubicle, which can be distracting.
