How to Back Up Contacts on a Palm Pre Plus

Say you forgot your Pre was in your top coat pocket, you leaned over the sink to wash your hands, and oops--your contact info washed away in a flood of unrecoverable water damage. If you don't want to go through the hassle of reprogramming your contact info if such a situation occurs, you'll need to back up your contacts ahead of time to the Palm servers, where they are encrypted and protected.

Instructions

1. Tap the arrow icon sitting in the bottom-right corner of the screen on your Palm Pre Plus. Swipe through the menu dashboard to the icon labeled "Backup" (which by default is on the third page over). Tap the icon to open it as a card.

2. Read over the information on the card detailing your phone's last backup, if any. Click "Back up now" at the bottom of the card to manually back up your information and contacts on the spot.

3. Swipe the switch at the top of the card to the "On" position, in order to turn on daily automatic backups.
