How to Make Furniture Polish With Olive Oil & Lemon

Olive oil and lemon juice might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about taking care of your finished wood furniture. However, these two ingredients, when mixed together, make a safe and environmentally friendly furniture polish. Making your own furniture polish out of olive oil and lemon juice is a smart and easy way to be both green and thrifty.

Things You'll Need

• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• Bowl
• Spray bottle (optional)

Instructions

1. Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a bowl.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the olive oil.

3. Mix the lemon juice and olive oil together thoroughly in the bowl.

Tips & Warnings

• Apply the solution with a soft, clean rag. Rub it with another soft, clean rag until the wood shines.

• Use an inexpensive brand of olive oil for this project. You won't be cooking with it.

• If you want to create more polish, increase the recipe exponentially.

• You can also use a spray bottle to apply the polish if you desire.
