How to Replace a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer Headlamp Bulb
Headlights are essential to safety while driving. Whether you're driving at dusk, dawn, the dead of night or in a daytime fo, you absolutely need your headlights. If your headlamp bulbs have gone out or are starting to lose their effectiveness, they must be replaced. Replacing headlamp bulbs in a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer is a fairly simple process and will bring your headlight performance back to its peak.
Things You'll Need
- Dry paper towel
- Spare bulb
- Flat screwdriver (optional)
- Flashlight (optional)

Using the hood latch release inside the vehicle, pop the hood. From outside the vehicle, fully release the hood by pulling on the lever under the hood, near its center.

Use the prop rod under the hood to hold the hood up while you work on the headlights.

Feel at the back of the headlight assembly for the access cap.

Pull at the cap to remove it and allow access to the headlamp bulb. If you cannot remove the cap with your fingers, use a flat screwdriver to pry it loose.

Reach your hand into the opening. Twist the base of the bulb clockwise around one quarter of a turn.

Pull the bulb out and disconnect it from the cable.

Open the packaging from the replacement bulb and carefully handle it with the dry paper towel.

Connect the bulb to its proper cable. Slide it into place and turn it a quarter of a turn counter-clockwise.

Replace the headlight assembly cap and close the hood.

Turn on the vehicle and then test the lights.
