How to Knit a Beaded Cuff Bracelet
Beaded cuffs are a versatile accessory, but sometimes these can be expensive and it may be difficult to find the right one. Instead of purchasing a cuff, take a little time to knit a beaded cuff. Cuffs are not a beginner project, but so long as you are familiar with basic knitting stitches, a cuff is a doable project. Another benefit to making a cuff is that the colors and types of beads can be chosen to create a one-of-a-kind piece.

1
Thread the beads onto the wire roll. The number and type of beads is a matter of personal preference.
-
2
Cast onto size four aluminum knitting needles 30 stitches using the stocking stitch. Aluminum needles will be easier to work with when using wire because the wire could also be too hard on wooden needles.

3
Finger block every second row by pulling the stitches tighter. Add the beads as needed by sliding it up the wire, and purling it into the next stitch. Purling stitches work with the knit stitch in a pattern. Hold the yarn in the left hand and use the index finger to push the yarn to the right and down back through the stitch. Stagger the beads so they are not all in the same place.

4
Knit until the desired bracelet width is reached -- 1 1/2 to 2 inches is a decent width for a cuff bracelet.
-
5
Add a clasp on each end of the bracelet. Some stores describe these as ribbon ends or folded pieces of metal chain that can be added to a bracelet by crimping the end over. Add a clasp to the chain on end of the bracelet.

Tips & Warnings
You might have to add or reduce the number of stitches if the recipient's wrist is smaller or later.
