Reset your HP OfficeJet printer’s wireless network and password information by following these steps.

  3. Tap "Wireless Setup Wizard" and then tap "Continue." Wait for the HP OfficeJet to locate your network’s name and then tap that network name. Tap "Skip" to skip using the WPS configuration.
  4. Tap the “OK” button to type in your wireless network’s password and then tap “OK” to proceed with setup. Wait for the printer to connect to the network.
  5. Tap “OK” on the “Connection Successful” screen that appears. Your HP OfficeJet printer is now connected to your new wireless network. You can follow these same steps to reconnect the printer to the network anytime it becomes disconnected from the network or if you have upgraded to a new router or changed your password.

Reset HP DeskJet Printer's Wireless Network Connection

Reset your DeskJet printer’s wireless connection by downloading HP’s software and following these steps.

  1. Download the HP full feature print driver and software program by visiting the link in the Resources section and selecting the software for your specific DeskJet model. Install this software and launch it on your computer. Do not click the “Continue” button yet.
  2. Turn your HP DeskJet printer on and then press and hold the printer’s “Power” button. Press the “Start Copy Black” button two types while holding the “Power” button. Then press the “Cancel” button three times. Release the “Power” button and the wireless light next to the wireless button on the printer will blink.
  3. Click the “Continue” button on HP’s printer software on your computer and then keep clicking “Continue” until you reach the “Connection Options” screen of the program.
  4. Click the “Wireless - make a connection to the printer” option on screen and then click “Next.” HP’s program determines what wireless connection option to use.
  5. Click “Yes” and then “Next” to proceed with HP’s Auto Wireless Connect option and then follow HP’s prompts to complete the wireless reconfiguration. Proceed with the Wireless Setup Using a USB connection option if the Auto Wireless Connect option is not displayed to you. 6. Your HP DeskJet is now successfully reconfigured for use on your new wireless network.
