How to Eradicate Moles in Your Yard

Holes and raised ridges through your yard or garden are tell-tale signs that you have a mole problem. Moles damage your grass and other plants while rooting out the grubs and worms they like to eat. Their ridges cause air pockets that kill bulbs and plant roots. You may never see your burrowing garden guests, but you'll notice the damage their trails do to your yard. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Mix 1/2 cup each of castor oil and liquid dish soap. Keep this concentrate in a sealed jar.

    • 2

Mix 2 or 3 tbsp. of the concentrate to 1 gallon of water. Pour the mixture into a watering can.

    • 3

Apply the repellent around the mole hill and trails. Continue to reapply, forming a barrier that the moles won't cross. As the moles move to other parts of your yard, continue to block them with the repellent, until your yard is mole-free. Once the moles are eradicated from your yard, periodically soak the edges of your lawn with repellent to keep them away.
