Add Bluetooth to your DVD6000 through the PCI slot.

The HP DV6000 is a Windows-based laptop computer that comes with a PCI Express slot in which a user can install a PCI Express card. Unlike with desktop computers, the DV6000 PCI slot is on the outside of the computer instead of inside a computer tower where the user would have to take a casing off of the system in order to install a PCI card. This external input allows the user to upgrade his HP DV6000 computer with a Bluetooth-enabled PCI card.

    • 2

Locate the PCI slot on the front-right of the computer. Push on the PCI cover and look inside of the slot to determine if there is already a PCI card installed on the system.

    • 3

Remove PCI card from the system if needed by pressing the card in and then sliding the card out of the slot.

Insert your new Bluetooth PCI card into the slot. Take note of the directional arrows printed on the top of the PCI card for installation.
