To complicate matters further, many people claim LEDs are better than plasmas while others claim the opposite. To purchase a TV that best suits your needs and preferences, it's crucial that you do your research so you can make an informed decision.

In addition to websites and blogs dedicated to each of these two types of technology, you will find many message boards focused on different types of televisions. Although message boards do not generally provide authoritative information, they do offer reviews by hundreds of people who own LED and plasma televisions. In addition, you can read about common complaints from both types of televisions, ask questions and read answers to questions you never thought to ask.

      Search through the archives on various newspaper websites to read articles written by technology experts on various types of televisions. To find these articles, visit different newspaper websites and enter the word "LED TV" and/or "Plasma TV" in the search box provided.
