How to Change Icons and Text on Blackberry 8800

The BlackBerry 8800 smart phone is loaded with a variety of applications and features to improve personal productivity, from basic cell phone functionality to more advanced organizational tools. While the BlackBerry 8800 is a powerful phone, the small screen size can make operating the menus a difficult task. However, there are two simple ways you can customize your BlackBerry to improve navigation.

Instructions

Change the Display Font

1. Press the BlackBerry icon key to open the main menu. Click the "Settings" icon.

2. Select "Screen/Keyboard" from the list of options. Set your desired font and size in the appropriate boxes.

3. Click "Save" to finish.

Change the size of Icons in the Main Menu

1. Press the BlackBerry icon key to open the main menu. Click the "Settings" icon.

2. Select "Accessibility" from the list.

3. Choose a grid size for the main menu. "6x6" is the default setting. The lower the number, the larger the size of the icons.
